In order to create a new silk industry, we have realized an all-in-one system from raising silkworms to extracting raw materials at our plant equipped with a “smart sericulture system” and “silk raw material processing facilities”.
01.Smart sericulture system
This is a new silkworm rearing device that industrially reproduces the advanced rearing management techniques and know-how of the Japanese sericulture industry and can significantly improve production efficiency. It covers a series of processes from rearing silkworm to cocoon processing and the risk of disease can be reduced by rearing in a clean environment. It is limited the period from May to October that the rearing of silkworms in conventional sericulture. But our system can make it possible to rear silkworm throughout the year.
02.Silk raw material processing facilities
Silk is mainly composed of a protein called fibroin, which is made up of 18 amino acids. We have established our own processing technology to extract fibroin from cocoons and refine “silk aqueous solution” and “silk powder. Functional research on silk is progressing for applications other than fiber, and silk can be used as a raw material for food, cosmetics and even biopharmaceuticals.
